EastEnders ‘confirms sad exit’ as character takes action – but it’s ‘not Bobby Beale’

EastEnders spoilers for the next episode may have teased a shock exit from the BBC soap, as Ian Beale targets Freddie Slater ahead of son Bobby’s departure

There could be a sad exit twist on EastEnders this week if Ian Beale gets his own way.

Bobby Beale was seen plotting his departure to live with stepmother Jane Beale during Wednesday’s episode after a heartbreaking betrayal. But a new spoiler for Thursday reveals Ian wants someone else to leave and not Bobby.

He plots to make the character in question, Freddie Slater, flee Walford for good so that Bobby can stay. But will be be successful given Bobby will leave the show at some point?

Cindy Beale is trying to get Bobby to leave, never having forgiven him for accidentally killing his sister and her daughter Lucy Beale while she was away. The fact he’s been dating her daughter Anna Knight, of no biological relation to Bobby, has left her feeling uneasy.

So to find out on Wednesday that Anna had fallen pregnant with Bobby’s baby left her keen for Anna to leave him, wanting Bobby out of the way. Bobby had no idea about the baby and was heartbroken to learn Anna was terminating the pregnancy.

Bobby had just caught her and his best pal Freddie kissing, leading to him breaking down. After chats with both of them, he wondered whether he had a future in Walford.

Cindy’s true thoughts on Bobby emerged as she made it clear she didn’t like her stepson and couldn’t forgive him over Lucy. As Anna considered getting back with Bobby Cindy tried to change her mind before advising Bobby to leave for good.

In the next episode, Cindy will continue to secretly work against Bobby to get him as far away from Anna and Walford as possible. But with Ian doing the opposite, it could be Freddie who ends up exiting the show instead.

Spoilers reveal Ian desperately tries to get Bobby to stay in Walford by driving Freddie out of the Square. But will Freddie leave, and will this episode be Bobby’s exit too?

EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
