She’s been on tour for nearly four months.
Home and Away star Lynne McGranger has returned to filming following a short break from the soap.
The actor, who plays Irene Roberts on the Australian soap, took a break from filming in May as she went on tour for the stage show, The Grandparents Club.
After nearly four months on tour, McGranger announced via Instagram that she had returned to the set to resume filming, sharing a photo of her alongside co-stars Ada Nicodemou and Shane Withington, who play Leah Patterson and John Palmer, respectively.
“So happy to be back with these lunatics!! @adanicodemou @shanewithingtonactor @homeandaway #backinthebay” she wrote in the caption, with the trio being pictured in a car on the set.
Several individuals took to the comment section to express their joy at McGranger’s return, with co-star Emily Symons – who plays Marilyn Chambers on the soap – writing: “Welcome back Lynnie 🥳”
“How lucky you all are to have each other, and that you get on so well,” wrote one happy fan. “It’s a joy to behold, and must help enormously in blurring the lines between work and play. Such fun! May your bonds of friendship and togetherness always endure! Xx”
McGranger, who debuted as Irene in 1993, recently revealed that she underwent surgery to have her “toxic overactive” thyroid removed, with the star sharing a statement following the procedure.
“It was a long time coming- we were incompatible and quite frankly I was exhausted,” she wrote. “Thank all the amazing people at the Mater Hospital North Sydney for making this giant life step so much easier than it might have been.
“I’m healing well and so far I don’t miss that dirty thyroid one bit! Stay tuned for Scar spam,” added the star, with the post also including a photo of the actor recovering in a hospital bed.
