Emmerdale’s Caleb Milligan was heard menacingly threatening a mystery caller and fans are now certain they know who he was talking to
Emmerdale fans think they’ve figured out the mystery person on the other end of Caleb Milligan’s (played by Will Ash) secretive phone call from Monday’s episode.
In a compelling recent scene from the soap, Moira (Natalie J Robb) faced a tough choice about her tumour treatment, while Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) grappled with her decision. She opted against surgery in favour of medication, which caused concern from her loved ones.
The tension escalated when Moira confused Cain for her son, Adam, signalling that her condition may be worsening rapidly.
Ruby Milligan (Beth Cordingly) also felt left out as Caleb seemed overly preoccupied with his business calls. The plot thickened at the climax of the episode when Caleb responded aggressively to an incessant caller, reports the Express.
Fuming and clearly at his limit, Caleb asked: “Will you stop calling?” before adding: “I’ll protect Ruby from you with everything that I have for, are you listening to me?”
His confrontation doesn’t end there; he accused the caller of deceit: “You’re a liar. Alright tomorrow, I will be there if only to put you six feet under myself.”
The fan base was quick to take to social media, buzzing with theories and speculations, as a flurry of them wagered that Caleb was whispering threats to none other than Ruby’s mum.
“Ooh, who’s that on the phone pestering Caleb…,” one viewer speculated, while another mused: “Who’s Caleb talking to on the phone? #Emmerdale.”
“Rose I think..,” a third guessed, and another viewer chimed in with: “And to top it all Ruby’s mum is harassing Caleb!”
“Caleb on the phone to the mother-in-law #Emmerdale,” someone else agreed.
“Looks like Caleb will be chatting with Ruby’s mother who’s set to pop up quite soon! #Emmerdale,” another speculated.
Elsewhere, Tracy Metcalfe (played by Amy Walsh) was left reeling after Nate (Jurell Carter) sent a text message out of the blue. He’s adjusting to life in Shetland but urged her not to call him until he says it’s okay.
Could this lead us to question whether the person behind the texts to his ex is really Nate or an imposter?
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
