Coronation Street star Charlie Jordan has been criticised for putting her feet on her train seat as she made her way with her co-stars as they travelled to London for the NTAs
Coronation Street star Charlotte Jordan has been slammed by fans after she was filmed with her feet on her train seat, as she travelled to London ahead of this year’s National Television Awards.
The 29-year-old actress, who plays Daisy Midgeley on the ITV soap, was en route to London when the controversial video clip was taken. Dressed casually in a vest top and a pair of tracksuit bottoms, Charlie placed her feet on her seat as she engaged in a conversation.
Taking to social media, one person wrote: “What’s with the feet on the seat.” Another fan said: “Get your feet off the seats, people have to sit there!” Meanwhile, another added: “Get your feet off the seats @charliejordanxo.” The ITV soap has three nominations at this year’s award show. The actual soap is up for the coveted Serial Drama award, which will see them go head to head against EastEnders, Emmerdale, Casualty and Hollyoaks.
David Neilson, who plays Roy Cropper, and Peter Ash, who plays Paul Foreman, are nominated for Serial Drama Performance. Before Charlotte joined the show in 2020 she had tried to carve a career out for herself as a singer as she was part of a girlband. Speaking to Metro, Charlotte explained that she was close to joining a girl group created by Simon Fuller and Geri Halliwell.
The soapstar said: “It was a development deal, which means we spent a lot of time bonding, doing choreography and recording songs in the studio sometimes cool songs, sometimes naff songs. You just try to find your sound.” On the soap, Charlotte’s character Daisy is in a relationship with Ryan Connor but it looks as though their romance is under strain.
In scenes yet to be aired, Daisy offers to babysit Daniel’s son Bertie as he is taking Bethany to the airport. But this has not not sat well with Ryan who is left upset that she is seemingly maintaining a bond with her ex-boyfriend’s son. Last year, Charlotte gave fans an insight into her real life as she posted a picture of her boyfriend and her partner in the soap.
The TV star showed off her beau named Paul and her co-star. Both men were seen sitting in the sunshine appearing to look over scripts. She captioned the post: “Real bae runs lines with fake bae.” Paul is not an actor but has appeared on TV before.
Since joining the show, Charlie has been involved in a few heavy storylines which include being stalked by Justin Rutherford, which made her a victim of an acid attack. Ryan ended up with most of then acid on him, which left him with scars on his face and body. Daisy decided to catfish Ryan but said she was doing it to help him following the attack.
