Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) is back to his old tricks next week when he continues to plot against son Vinny (Shiv Jalota) and ex-wife Suki (Balvinder Sopal) in EastEnders.
As viewers of the BBC One soap know, the pair devised a plot against terminally ill Nish in a bid to get their hands on his business assets when he meets his end.
This was sparked when he sold the Bridge Street Cafe back to former owner Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) for £1, telling them that everything else would be donated to the Gurdwara.
After initially cutting his dad off, Vinny decided to be overly nice to win his affections back.
Sadly, this meant entwining Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) into his plan, throwing her out of the family home after Nish told them he’d slept with her. Even Suki questioned whether he was making the right move.
After being made homeless, Priya decided to kickstart her own revenge by handcuffing Nish to some shelving in the Minute Mart stock room so that she could force a confession out of him.
In a shock twist, Vinny and Suki, who were completely unaware of what was unfolding, strolled into the shop and openly discussed their plan – and he overheard every word.
They’d been well and truly scuppered.
Looking into next week, things look a little awry again…
It’s Vinny’s birthday, and Suki plans a surprise party for him at The Albert with girlfriend Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) – and tell Nish that he’s firmly off the invite list.
He has his own issues though, as he’s heard on the grapevine that undercover police have been digging into his chicken shop business.
Thinking on his feet, he quickly thinks up an idea…
Vinny, on the other hand, decides to make an emotional plea to his dad, asking him to attend the bash after all. Caught up in the love from his son, Nish drops whatever he’d thought up.
What is he up to?
As the celebrations are in full swing, Suki is taken aback when he offers her a heartfelt compliment about her parenting skills, and then hands Vinny a present.
However, when he shows it to his mum, she reckons that it must be another of his dodgy stunts…
Has Nish changed his ways, or is this all part of a grander scheme?
