BBC EastEnders Bobby Beale’s sad exit storyline ‘confirmed’ amid baby twist

All hell will break loose in Walford ahead of Bobby Beale’s EastEnders exit when his girlfriend Anna Knight makes a huge decision about her pregnancy – and Freddie Slater meddles.

After receiving a huge baby bombshell, Anna Knight is set to consider her options next week but her persistent feelings for Freddie Slater could mark the end of her relationship with Bobby Beale.

The pair have been romantically involved for several months and, despite Anna (portrayed by Molly Rainford) once romping with Bobby’s pal Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier), the couple have been able to move forward.

But amid reports claiming actor Clay Milner Russell will soon be leaving the BBC One soap after five years, viewers of the long-running show are anticipating his on-screen exit.

Recent spoilers have confirmed that Anna is set to find out she is pregnant with Bobby’s baby and in scenes due to air next week, her discovery will leave her with a decision to make, while Freddie flies to the rescue to support her, unbeknownst to Bobby.

Coming up, Anna insists to her sister Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) that she’s happy about her pregnancy and that she intends to tell Bobby that same day. However, when the time comes and Bobby walks into The Queen Vic to see her, Gina finds out that her sister has been avoiding his calls like the plague.

Bobby later leaves the boozer, completely unaware of the pregnancy, but Anna soon tells Gina that she doesn’t feel ready to have a baby. Following the admission, Gina implores Anna to explore all her options.

Though Gina keeps Anna’s secret, Freddie figures it all out when hanging out with her and Bobby, as he spots details of a clinic on Anna’s laptop. Tactful Freddie keeps quiet but when Anna finds him, she begs him to do as her sister and keep it under wraps – she’s having an abortion and Bobby can never know.

Blissfully unaware of Anna’s dilemma, Bobby invites her out in other scenes but she brushes him off, determined to head to the clinic alone. Freddie quickly catches up with her and pleads with her to tell Bobby the truth but Anna categorically refuses. Unfortunately for her, Walford residents have grown accustomed to rumbling secrets.

Over at Beale’s Eels, Peter Beale (Thomas Law) shares that Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) has been speculating that Anna may be pregnant, leaving Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) to encourage his son Bobby to speak to her.

Meanwhile, Anna talks through her options at the clinic and confirms she wants to have an abortion. She is then touched to find Freddie expecting her in the waiting room and the pair head back to the Queen Vic. But when alone, emotions continue to run high between the two and they kiss – unaware that Bobby has walked in to catch them red-handed.

Later on, Freddie tries to save what he can from his friendship with Bobby, rushing after him, but Bobby responds by accusing him of getting Anna pregnant. Martin Fowler (James Bye) soon gets involved and restrains a fuming Bobby, while Anna insists he has jumped to conclusions. Bobby and Anna soon storm into the Beale house mid-argument, where tensions erupt. How will it play out?
