Hollyoaks is set to jump forward in time to find out what the residents have been up too over the past 12 months and Tony Hutchinson is spotted putting flowers on a grave
It’s been a year since the catastrophic motorbike crash and criminal Blue’s revenge that forever altered the lives of Hollyoaks village residents. Next week, the Channel 4 soap will fast-forward to reveal what the villagers have been up to over the past year, with landlord Tony Hutchinson (played by Nick Pickard) surveying his domain.
Inside, he pauses, gazing wistfully at family photos while some of the Hutchinson clan prepare for the school run. The question remains: did all his loved ones survive the motorbike crash that tore through the McQueens’ house? Over at Casa McQueen, preparations are underway for a party, as the family rallies to get the place ready.
It’s a bustling day in the village, but for some, it will be a difficult and painful reminder.
Tony collects flowers from Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) to lay on a grave, and he’s not the only one paying respects, reports the Mirror. The Osbornes and Lomaxes also gather solemnly at gravesides. But despite the anniversary, life goes on, and love is blossoming for an engaged couple.
The day’s significance weighs heavily on Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe), who is grappling with single motherhood and the events of the past year. However, she’s persevering, running a business and caring for her one year old twins.
At the hospital, Tony appears burdened as doctors attend to a patient. There’s no update. He musters courage and raises a toast at Casa McQueen. Despite a challenging year, he believes they have weathered the storm.
His positive outlook is infectious as another couple decides it’s time to progress their relationship. There’s good news on the horizon for another resident who goes into labour.
The Lomaxes rush to the hospital, but later tensions rise as a secret relationship is revealed. Vicky Grant (Anya Lawrence) finds herself at odds with Sienna. Has Vicky crossed the wrong person in the Blake icon?
The Lomaxes gather at the hospital, and it’s a time of celebration as the birth of a new life brings hope.
Hollyoaks airs Monday to Wednesday on E4 at 7pm and first look episodes can be streamed Channel 4 from 7am
