Emmerdale fans have rumbled exactly how Tom King could be about to get exposed for running over Belle Dingle’s dog Piper as they spotted a major blunder on the ITV soap
Emmerdale fans were left distracted as they spotted a major blunder after village villain Tom King committed his first murder in chilling scenes.
The vile vet, played James Chase, left fans outraged as he killed his wife Belle Dingle’s (Eden Taylor-Draper) beloved dog Piper during Friday’s (August 16) episode of the ITV soap.
Viewers are already aware that Belle has desperately tried to escape his control and split up with her abusive husband but he’s determined to win her back, playing the victim in the village while secretly monitoring Belle every move via hidden cameras and trackers.
He turned up at her brother Sam Dingle’s (James Hotton) birthday party last week and she ordered him to leave her alone and get out in front of her concerned family.
An angry Tom left The Woolpack in a fury and drove to the Dingle house and found Piper on the lane and instead of pulling over to help the escaped pooch he drove her.
He then took her back to the village and waited with the poor pup until he spotted Belle leaving the party and then rushed over and claimed to have just found Piper.
After operating on the dog with the help of Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) during Monday’s (August 19) episode, Tom brought Belle in to see Piper and told her that she needed to be put to sleep. She said goodbye and then left the room, unable to watch while Tom injected her.
Tom then comforted Belle, reassuring his spouse that Piper didn’t suffer and was at peace but he overplayed his hand when he tried to manipulate her.
However, Belle confronted Tom after realising he was responsible for Piper’s death and then exposed him in front of Rhona by revealing he abused the dog during their trip to the cottage in Wales.
As Belle was left feeling disgusted by what Tom had done to Piper, fans noticed a huge blunder relating to the violent dog attack. Taking social media, one Emmerdale viewer questioned how the CCTV nearby could have captured him running over the pup.
They wrote: “Seeing as Wishing Well Cottage is next door to Eric’s house, could his doorbell camera have captured Tom’s most vile and cruellest act? Another added: “Certainly hope so, although a horrible experience for Eric and Brenda if they check the footage.”
Someone else wrote: “What a good thought.” A fourth person penned: “Yes! It would show Tom was the one that run her over.”After tuning into the “distressing”, some fans threatened to go to broadcasting regulators Ofcom to issue a formal complaint about the storyline.
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
