Everyone is concerned.
Hollyoaks is set to air some worrying scenes involving James Nightingale, as Ste Hay looks to reunite with his husband.
James and Ste recently split up, after James was sent the video of Ste and Rex having sex just before his court sentencing.
In scenes that will air next week, Ste is still feeling depressed after his breakup, with James calling things off for good following his betrayal.
Meanwhile, Dillon has failed his driving test and therefore isn’t able to take Lucas to Cornwall, so the pair instead decide to try to get Ste and James back together.
Ste and James are each invited to a meeting at Casa McQueen but, once there, they realise that they have been set up by the children.
While he has the chance, Ste tells James that he is the love of his life and begs him to give their relationship another chance, but a devastated James says he can’t try any more.
Ste still doesn’t want to give up so goes round to the flat, but when he gets there he finds James with some painkillers, and is scared that he was going to do something dangerous.
Later, Ste asks Leela to check on James for him, but she advises that he should seek professional help.
He then asks Maxine, who turns up to see James, but he quickly works out that Ste sent her. He is angry and storms out before heading out to tell Ste to back off.
Leah is next in line to check on James, and he is touched that she is concerned about him. He explains that his painkillers were just for a headache, and says he isn’t going anywhere.
She relays this reassurance to Ste, and it appears that Leah could be the one to get the couple to reunite.
Ste calls round to see James and spots him dosing up on painkillers. He asks if they can spend the day together, before arriving at The Dog in his wedding day outfit to win James round.
Later, Leah continues to play cupid at the law firm, but James shouts at her and she leaves. Maxine then asks him why he has just changed his will to leave everything to Ste and the kids.
Why has James changed his will, and is there any hope for him and Ste?
Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
