Emmerdale confirms Piper’s fate after Tom’s evil attack as Belle confronts him

Emmerdale has released a preview clip that reveals whether Piper dies after being run over by evil owner Tom King, with Belle Dingle rumbling his vile antics

It seems Emmerdale has revealed the fate of Piper the dog in a new preview, after a harrowing twist left viewers threatening to switch off on Friday.

In disgusting scenes, Tom King deliberately ran over and injured wife Belle Dingle’s beloved pooch to get at her. Furious to realise he no longer had control over her, he was desperate for her to need him again.

Tom was shown revving his car towards Piper as she walked around in the road after getting out of Lydia Dingle’s house. Tom was then shown faking panic as he waited for Belle to leave the pub, before dramatically running to the back of the car.

Screaming out for Belle not to look over, knowing she would, he claimed Piper was in a bad way. He carried Piper wrapped in a blanket out of the car and ran into the vets, vowing to save her – having just tried to kill her.

The episode ended there with Piper’s life hanging in the balance, and now a new preview for Monday night appears to have revealed her fate. Not only that, but it’s clear Tom has been rumbled by Belle who sees through his act, and accuses him of causing her injuries.

In the clip, Belle is struggling and in shock over what seems to be the loss of Piper. It’s heavily hinted if not confirmed in the clip that Piper has sadly died, with Belle then accusing Tom of “killing her”.

Tom immediately tries to use the loss to get back into the house with Belle, telling her she needs someone with her for her mental health. Belle denies this, but Tom keeps pushing that he should be there for her and that she needs him.

Belle stops in her tracks, realising Tom was to blame. As Tom tries his best to deny it, she tells him: “Oh my God it was you. It was you wasn’t it… you’ve killed her. You ran her over.”

Viewers of the ITV soap threatened to switch the programme off when Tom turned on Piper. Taking to X to share their thoughts, one wrote: “#Emmerdale Tom running the dog over. What a horrible little man. Belle needs to get as far away him as possible,” whilst a second added: “Seriously Emmerdale AGAIN with the animal cruelty SHAME ON YOU.” A third penned: “When you start by warning of animal cruelty it’s a switch off from me #emmerdale.”
