Hope is accused of a major crime in Coronation Street – but she’s not to blame

Coronation Street’s Hope Dobbs (Isabella Flanagan) finds herself in hot water next week when she’s accused of meddling with Alina Pop’s (Ruxandra Porojnicu) court case.

Alina arrived back in Weatherfield last week, after being called as a witness in a human trafficking trial.

Viewers of the ITV soap will remember that in 2019, Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) found Alina had been trafficked into the UK to work at a nail salon, with her ‘boss’ confiscating her passport to prevent her from returning to native Romania.

But a bigger shock was still to come – she was in town alongside her infant son Dorin, who was fathered by Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall)!

After the two came face to face, she admitted that she was actually living in Hastings and planned to stick around up North a little longer whilst the trial was ongoing… with Tyrone agreeing to put mother and child up in the Chariot Square Hotel.

In upcoming scenes, his youngest daughter Ruby (Billie Naylor) is making a huge fuss over Dorin, whilst Hope is less than enthusiastic.

She’s been going through the ‘terrible teens’ in recent weeks, dumping her long-term boyfriend Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) in favour of lusting over her arsonist neighbour Jack Webster (Kyran Bowes).

Hope even went to the medical centre to ask to be put on the contraceptive pill, something which infuriated her parents.

When Alina begins to receive menacing phone calls, and suspects that it’s the traffickers trying to intimidate her, Tyrone has other ideas. He’s quick to point the finger at Hope, but she’s furious and denies any involvement.

Is she behind it?

Later, Fiz fumes at her husband for lying about a huge bill, with the money actually going to Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) for a consultation surrounding custody of Dorin.

The row escalates further when Tyrone reveals that he’d like his ex-girlfriend and newfound son to consider moving to Weatherfield on a more permanent basis. Fiz worries that with Alina around, old feelings could reignite between the two.

As the week goes on, Alina has fears that she’s being watched, and as she gets ready for her court appearance, a thug barges his way into her hotel room and threatens her.

Will Alina be okay?
