Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) discovered some important information about daughter Angelica King (Rebecca Bakes) in Thursday night’s Emmerdale.
Angelica was sent to a secure children’s home earlier this year after being responsible for the car crash that killed Heath Hope. When she left, Nicola and Jimmy King (Nick Miles) hoped Angelica would be released earlier if she behaved well – but that hasn’t been the case.
After being told every so often that Angel’s behaviour has been slowly changing, tonight’s episode of the ITV soap offered confirmation the Angelica King who left the village wasn’t ever going to return.
Previously, Jimmy and Nicola expected Angel to return home this week but were told it was being delayed because she had got in a fight.
They then discovered their daughter – who was very quiet when she lived in the Dales – was the person who orchestrated the confrontation, which shocked the parents.
As Nicola made her way over to the B&B, Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) soon recognised something was on her mind.
Breaking down in tears, Nicola confirmed Angel will be in the secure children’s home for the entire eight months of her sentence.
Opening up about the fight, Nicola reflected on when she was attacked by a group of girls in a multi-storey carpark.
Terrified about the future, Nicola couldn’t help but wonder if Angel was turning into a ‘violent thug’.
Angelica King left the village for the home in Bristol back in March. If she isn’t allowed out until she serves her full sentence, we won’t see her until October.
But what will she be like when she eventually returns?
