EastEnders viewers noticed in spoilers for the BBC soap that Teddy Mitchell appears to be running from a mystery character away from Walford, and their identity may have been rumbled
Soap fans think they know who could be targeting EastEnders character Teddy Mitchell, after spoilers teased he could be in trouble.
Viewers think a past character on the show is the mystery person Teddy is clearly hiding from after his move to Walford. Spoilers have revealed that something happened in Teddy’s past, and he wants a fresh start in Albert Square with his sons.
But it seems they’re trying to forget their past, only for someone to be trying to track them down. Next week, Teddy tells son Harry they need to forget the “trouble” they faced prior to their move, before Harry confirms “you know who” is looking for them.
Teddy claims he has it all under control but it’s clear he’s hiding out away from a mystery unnamed character. But who is after Teddy and what do they want from him?
Fans think they have worked it all out, and one key theory could see a former show villain be revealed as the person in question. Another theory suggested it was Teddy’s wife or the mother of his sons that could be looking for him, with Teddy’s past yet to be exposed.

Amid the confirmed return of past villain Chrissie Watts, some fans are now convinced her mystery autumn return ties in with Teddy. Viewers have suggested Chrissie will be the person looking for Teddy for an unknown reason, while currently there is nothing to suggest the characters are linked.
As one fan questioned if it was “his wife” who was after him, another fan suggested: “Heard his ex is Chrissie Watts and she’s making a comeback.” A third fan agreed: “Chrissie Watts coming in,” as a fourth said: “Chrissie is already filming.”
Speaking about her return to the Square recently, Chrissie actress Tracy-Ann Oberman said she “jumped” at the chance to come back. Speaking about what’s to come, she teased: “Chrissie Watts was such a great character to play – a victim or a villain. She is a real fan favourite so, when Chris Clenshaw asked me to come back and re-visit her and see what has happened in the last 19 years, I jumped at the chance. The scripts are fantastic and I hope the viewers enjoy her as much as I am enjoying playing her again.”
She last appeared on the show back in December 2005, just a year and a half after she first arrived in the Square back in April 2004. Chrissie was arrested for killing her husband Den Watts, after a shock plot that saw Chrissie, Sam Mitchell and Zoe Slater caught up in a violent showdown with the character.
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
