Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) was smacked in the face with shock last week in Coronation Street when Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) returned with their young son in tow.
Alina had travelled from Romania to Manchester to attend a human trafficking trial as a witness. Of course, because it’s a small world, it wasn’t long until she bumped into Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) and then eventually Tyrone.
Alina confirmed that Dorin is Tyrone’s son but in tonight’s episode, it seemed he was reluctant to bond with the little lad because he didn’t completely believe his ex.
With a DNA test in hand, Tyrone made his way to Alina’s hotel room with a cover story. While she showered, Tyrone spend time with Dorin but then tried to swab his mouth.
He was caught by Alina, who was incredibly hurt Tyrone had lied and also didn’t believe her that Dorin was his child.
While this was going on, Fiz had walked into the pub to hear the likes of David (Jack P Shepherd), Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) and Sally (Sally Dynevor) gossiping about her and Tyrone.
It became clear being the centre of town gossip had given Fiz food for thought somewhat. Later that day, she surprisingly visited Alina herself.
Announcing that she didn’t want any trouble, Fiz told Alina that she needs to consider allowing Dorin to see Tyrone and his two sisters because if not, he’ll grow up and ask questions, and may not like the answers Alina gives him.
Returning home, Fiz updated Tyrone and he was taken aback to learn where she had been.
Suffice to say Fiz was uncomfortable with the situation but also knew she didn’t have any choice but to get used to it.
She reiterated the importance of communication to Tyrone and said from now on, every single decision they make about Alina and Dorin has to be done together.
