Coronation Street fans are convinced that Toyah Battersby, played by Georgia Taylor, is going to die this week after she was left unconscious and on a ventilator
Corrie enthusiasts are biting their nails as fears escalate over Toyah Habeeb’s fate; the beloved character is currently in a coma following an ovarian cancer op.
In Monday’s nail-biter (August 12), Nick Tilsley stayed glued by her side, all through his morning vigil at the hospital and tense wait for the surgery outcome. Yet, as viewers watched, the plot thickened when word came that Toyah had hit complications during the intense three-hour procedure.
While Toyah’s life teetered on the edge, a distraught Nick speed-dialled her sister Leanne, urging her to dash to the hospital without delay. Later on, relief was only half-found as doctors announced they had stabilised Toyah, although she remained unconscious and dependent on a ventilator.
As Nick and Leanne came together at Toyah’s bedside, tensions thawed, and emotions ran high.
Corrie fans might recall Nick recently spilled the beans about his romantic feelings for Toyah amidst their affair, stirring up a tricky choice between her and Leanne.
The suspense has proved too much for the Corrie crowd with whispers swirling on X that Toyah might not survive, potentially ending her 27-year stint on the Street.
One fan speculated: “Checked #Corrie for rest of the week. No mention of Toyah.”, reports the Express.
And another couldn’t hide their anticipation, exclaiming: “Love Toyah but I’m gagging for a #Corrie death! It’s been too long.”
A third chimed in with: “Uh oh, looks like Toyah has bad news. #Corrie”, and another fan shared their concern, adding: “Toyah can’t be dead #Corrie.”
Corrie airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV1 and ITVX
