Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley)’s latest side-hustle as a financial dominatrix (findom) on Emmerdale obviously can’t end well – but in upcoming episodes it threatens her entire future happiness when one of her ‘clients’ turns out to be none other than Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) – the father of Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt), the man Mandy is about to marry.
Mandy has been doing the online job to raise extra cash after she found herself in financial difficulties in the run-up to her wedding to Paddy.
Despite being warned by Tracy (Amy Walsh) that she’s playing a dangerous game, Mandy insists that she’s putting her safety first and that she’ll give up the work as soon as she’s earned enough money to treat Paddy on their honeymoon.
It’s her hen do, but before Mandy can enjoy herself she has two more jobs to fit in. Bear has an appointment at the salon for a beard trim, and at the same time Mandy has to deal with another findom call.
She uses the new karaoke headset that Amelia (Daisy Campbell) has given her – but unfortunately the headset is linked to speakers which are in the salon and Bear hears everything.
He confronts Mandy over what he heard and threatens her that if she doesn’t tell Paddy about what she’s been doing, then he will.
Bear is later irritated when Paddy is singing Mandy’s praises as he realises that she hasn’t come clean to Paddy and is still lying to him. So he comes up with a plan.
Mandy gets a request from another client, and it’s an offer she can’t refuse. ’Someone’s offered her another £300,’ Lisa Riley told us. ‘She says “This £300 will pay for the meal for Paddy,” because they go back to Venice for their honeymoon. All she wants is to treat Paddy.’
Unfortunately for Mandy, this final client is someone she already knows well.
‘Unbeknownst, Bear logs on under a pseudonym and it all goes bananas,’ Lisa confirmed.
As Mandy deals with her client, Bear gets a notification on his phone. It turns out that Mandy’s last client is actually Bear, trying to catch her out.
It’s not long before he shares what he knows with a horrified Paddy – who is now not sure if he wants to go ahead with the wedding after all.
