Oliver went on to say how fortunate they were to have caught the illness early, adding: “And we were very lucky because they detected quite a high grade of cancer and were able to deal with that quite quickly but she then went through the chemo and the radiotherapy.”
Admiration for her stamina was clear as he detailed how she managed to tackle her last radio treatment session, relocated homes, and even performed in a hit West End show, ‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe,’ amidst the demanding therapy.
Determined to raise awareness about the disease, Oliver stressed the significance of regular check-ups and urged women to keep an eye out for any abnormalities. He underscored his point by noting how his girlfriend’s cancer was picked up during one such regular health screening.
Wrapping up, Christine provided information regarding the Lorraine campaign, Change and Check, aimed at promoting cancer vigilance.
