EastEnders fans have been left puzzled over one ‘missing’ character, who has failed to appear on the soap since March despite living on the Square
EastEnders fans have been left puzzled by two ‘missing’ residents – who haven’t been seen since March.
The BBC soap has been airing some big storylines as of late but one character who has been missing for a while is Lily Slater and her daughter Charli, who she gave birth to nearly a year ago.
Fans have been left puzzled by no mention of Lily Slater or her daughter for weeks, despite Stacey and Jean still appearing regularly on the BBC soap. Whilst fans are convinced they know why Lilia Turner is missing from the soap – so she can study for her exams – they are puzzled over her not being on the show.

One fan wrote on Reddit: “Baby Charli is One next month and we haven’t seen here since March. I don’t deny Lilila Turner (Lily) probably has her education off screen so that explains her absence … but we never even seen Jean or Stacey mention Charli now or show them with the pram or even folding onesies. I figured we would see stories such as Lily struggling, societal stigma etc and it just seems it’s been forgotten about.”
“Yep. She breezed through the pregnancy, hasn’t had to sacrifice anything of her education or personal life and the baby is just another Slater in the house now. I honestly don’t know why they bothered. Shock value of a pregnant 12 year old, but no repercussions in any way,” a second fan wrote on the platform.
A third person shared: “I expected the show to explore the hardships of having a baby so young. But the only time we’ve seen any sort of conflict, or Lily/Ricky being irresponsible is when Jack caught them feeding Charli crisps.”
Viewers found out Lily was pregnant at the start of last year, when she fell ill and was rushed to hospital.
She said: “Lilia is such a great little actress – there’s something about her that is so warm and so natural, and her instincts are just bang-on. She’s been so desperate for a storyline of her own for so many years, so to see her have one is lovely.
“To watch her absolutely nail it has just been brilliant. I’ve tried to stay out of it as much as I can because Lilia actually doesn’t need any help, tips or guidance because she’s just great. She’s got something that is so natural that I don’t want to take that away from her.”
