Hollyoaks spoilers follow from Monday’s episode on Channel 4 streaming, which doesn’t air on E4 until Tuesday.

Last night’s (August 5) Hollyoaks streaming episode saw Cleo McQueen make a decision in Kitty Draper and Abe Fielding’s ongoing plot.

It was recently revealed that Kitty is actually a woman named Ivy and that she stole the real Kitty’s identity after she was involved in a fatal car crash.

Recent episodes saw Kitty find out that Abe had filed a missing persons report, and later learnt that Abe was the man the real Kitty was running from before her death.

She then tried to warn Cleo about her boyfriend, but Abe overheard and told Cleo that Kitty was lying.

Last night’s episode saw Cleo return home after spending the night at the B&B. She quickly began questioning Abe about why Kitty would lie about his abusive behaviour towards his ex.

To back up his claims, Abe tried to accuse Kitty of lying about the stolen identity. “Yeah, sure, I went out with the person that she’s impersonating, but the rest of her story is rubbish,” he said.

“Maybe she’s mentally ill. Unless you think it’s more likely that Kitty is telling the truth and I’m some sort of violent bully.”

Abe continued: “I regret the way I was back then, but I’m a completely different person now. Because of you, I strive every day to improve myself to make sure that I don’t repeat any past mistakes.”

Later, Cleo was left upset when she overhead Theresa telling Sally about her romantic encounter with Abe.

When Cleo expressed her frustration, Theresa apologised and promised to stay away from Abe.

Kitty, who was listening in on their conversation, interrupted and told the pair that Abe is a danger to women. “He’s not the nice guy he pretends to be,” she added.

Despite her protests, Cleo told Kitty that she believes Abe, saying: “I don’t know why you’re spreading all these lies. I guess it’s your word against his, I know who I believe.”

After Cleo headed home, a smug Abe teased Kitty after Cleo declared that she trusts him.

“Looks like you’ve wasted your time, Cleo doesn’t believe a word that you’ve said,” he said, before Kitty replied: “Yeah, well, maybe not now, but she will.”

Kitty then revealed that she’s in possession of the real Kitty’s phone, which contains “interesting” texts that could incriminate Abe. She then threatened to show them to the police, before Abe vowed to reveal her secret if she did.

When will Abe get found out?

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
