SPOILERS: Coronation Street bad guy Joel Deering’s downfall could be happening soon after fiancee discovers something shocking at his flat next week.
Coronation Street’s Dee-Dee Bailey makes a surprise discovery at Joel Deering’s flat next week on the soap.
Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown ) is currently engaged to Joel – not knowing exactly who he really is. The sicko solicitor has shown his true colours in recent months when it was revealed he was behind the disappearance of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).
Since Lauren returned to the cobbles, with the shock news that she’s pregnant with his baby, Joel has tried to secure her silence by giving her a place to stay at his old flat.
He has also promised to pay for her to go to Ireland to start a new life – with Joel revealing she was flying out on August 12 and he had three weeks to sort everything out.
However, in a sickening twist Joel ended up giving Lauren drugs to induce a premature labour – leading to the birth of their baby boy.

Meanwhile, Dee-Dee has no idea about her partner’s twisted double life. But next week, that could all change.
Spoilers reveal that Dee-Dee spots a notification on Joel’s laptop, asking him to rate his experience at Belfast Airport. She quizzes him about it and Joel makes out he was meant to go for work but it got cancelled.
Later on, Dee-Dee hands Emily a fairy charm for Maeve’s bracelet, suggesting she might like to be a flower girl at their wedding.
When Emily reveals that Maeve doesn’t have a charm bracelet and warns her to be careful as Joel’s still paying rent on his old flat, Dee-Dee’s confused.

Returning home and seeing Joel’s briefcase she opens it and finds a set of keys. Dee-Dee lets herself into Joel’s flat and searches the cupboards, convinced he’s having an affair.
In July, Lauren actor Cait teased Joel Deering’s downfall, and who will bring him. She told The Mirror: “I think that will help with the story in [saying that] victims are not weak, victims of sexual exploitation and grooming are not weak, they are very strong people.
“For it to be Lauren would be the closure she needs, the justice she needs and being heard.
“Lauren has never been heard in her life. She represents so many girls out there who are not heard, not justified, not validated so I would love it to be Lauren who brings Joel down.”
