Emmerdale Christmas bombshell as Kim Tate star drops hints about Peter’s ‘secret’ boss

Emmerdale icon Claire King has teased Christmas Day drama for her character Kim Tate and Will Taylor as she spoke out about their vow renewal and Peter’s revenge plot

Emmerdale’s Claire King, who plays the iconic Kim Tate, has hinted at a Christmas Day filled with drama for her character and husband Will Taylor. She also alluded to Peter’s revenge plot, as he aims to “take her down”.

The ITV soap is gearing up for another eventful Christmas Day, featuring Kim Tate and Will Taylor amidst scandalous events.

In recent episodes, Will (played by Dean Andrews) has been conspiring with financial advisor Peter (David Michaels) to topple Kim (Claire King). Following their recent separation, Kim offered Will £100,000 in their divorce settlement, but he’s determined to secure half of everything – including Home Farm.

Will and Kim have recently reignited their romance and plan to renew their wedding vows on Christmas Day. However, an accident on Christmas Eve will alter everything.

In scenes set to air on December 24, Will finds himself uneasy when Peter shows up at Home Farm, adding tension to their Christmas Day plans.

Meanwhile, Kim leaves the stables to ride her horse, but soon after, the horse is found alone in the fields, with no sign of its rider.

Driving along a country road, Will becomes worried upon seeing Kim’s horse without Kim. His concern escalates when he spots a motionless body in a nearby field.

Will rushes to Kim’s side, finding her unconscious on the grass and immediately dials 999, his thoughts of revenge evaporating. Realising his deep love for his wife, Will knows he must cancel tomorrow’s plans, but Peter has other intentions.

Claire King, who plays Kim, hinted at a possible accomplice working with Peter. Speaking from the Emmerdale set, she said: “Peter is in cahoots with another”, while Dean Andrews, who portrays Will, added: “Who maybe also wants to take Kim down.”

Claire confirmed that the vow renewal between Will and Kim is genuine, saying: “Will is wanting it to be very intimate, just the two of them, because he has a surprise lined-up for her with Peter obviously, to surprise and say ‘right there you go, I’m taking everything’, so he’s kind of keeping her on the boil here.”

Will wants to know who Peter is working with

Kim, however, has other ideas. Claire continued: “So Kim is against that, she says ‘Ok I will agree to it being intimate, we’ll have it in the house but it’s got to be with Gabby, Thomas, Dawn, Billy, the kids, and I will agree to that’.”

This doesn’t sit well with Will, especially when Kim announces that she has asked Dawn to move back in. Claire explained: “Will is not very happy, then she announces that she has asked Dawn to move back in which is scaring Will because he just wants it to be those two because they have an ultimate surprise for her. He doesn’t want to hurt his daughter and his family.

“That was the original plan until she has her accident, and then he thinks ‘actually I don’t want to go through with this’.”

Dean added: “The vow renewal started off not to be genuine but the mind of Will’s changed and then it all becomes genuine. So he initially doesn’t want Billy and the kids with Dawn there but embraces that.”

Claire revealed: “I think Kim does love him, yes she is being stubborn but she has been burned before.”

In a mysterious turn at Home Farm, viewers will encounter a flashforward where unsettling Christmas tunes accompany a scene in which a Christmas Tree has toppled over amidst signs of turmoil. One must wonder if the planned retribution will unfold as intended.
