Michael Le Vell usually keeps his private life away from the limelight
Coronation Street legend Michael Le Vell has been supported after a huge personal update. The soap star is renowned for his role as Kevin Webster on the Cobbles.
The soap star, whose real name is Michael Robert Turner, first appeared in Weatherfield in 1983 and has largely been a mainstay on the Cobbles ever since. Kevin’s initial storylines focused on his blossoming romance with Sally Metcalfe and the two tied the knot in 1986.
However, their relationship was rocked when Kevin had an affair with Natalie Barnes, which eventually led to their first divorce in 1999. The couple got back together in 2002 for the sake of their daughters, but they eventually split for good after the epic tram crash in 2011.
Kevin is now married to Abi Webster and recent storylines have centred on their relationship as the character, played by Sally Carman, was targeted by online trolls. He has also been forced to defend his sister, Debbie Webster, from Daniel Osbourne as he confronted the character in last week’s show.
The soap star does not traditionally offer insight into his personal life as he is not active on social media. However, his co-star, Alan Halsall, has taken to his channels to reveal Michael celebrated a big milestone over the weekend.
Alan, who plays Tyrone Dobbs, works closely with Michael as their characters often share the screen in Webster’s Autocentre. I’m A Celebrity star Alan has taken to Instagram to wish Michael a happy birthday after he turned 60.
He shared a snap of the two together, alongside the caption: “Happy 60th to the boss. Have a fantastic day mate and let’s have a [beer emoji] soon.”

Alan has built up a large following on Instagram as he regularly shares updates from his life away from the screen. He has recently returned to the UK after a stint in Australia for I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.
The Tyrone Dobbs star was the seventh to leave the camp this year and said the experience will live long in the memory. On his arrival back to the UK when he was greeted by his daughter, Sienna, he said: “My heart is full again
“Such a fantastic experience & What an amazing welcome back home from my Beautiful Daughter & my family!”
