Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ Tom King’s dramatic exit and he ‘doesn’t go to prison’

Emmerdale’s Tom King has already tried to escape justice but fans think the villain is set for a dark end as he becomes desperate to regain his freedom

Emmerdale bad boy Tom King (played by James Chase) is refusing to face justice for his violent crimes as tries to conjure up another plan to get released from prison, but fans think he is set to meet a dark end as he fights for freedom.

The local vet was arrested and charged after his estranged wife Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) bravely reported her harrowing abuse to the police. Tom then tried to get a mis-trial after he tricked his cousin Angelica (Rebecca Bakes) into sharing a video online branding him an abuser, but the plan failed.

Next week, defiant Tom will stand trial and is facing court alone after his family, including his uncle Jimmy (Nick Miles), turned his back on him. Tom is still refusing his fate and confirmed he would come up with another way to get out of the trial.

This has sparked reaction among fans who are predicting violent Tom will manage to escape from his trial before it’s over, but will later meet his death.

Taking to Reddit, one Emmerdale viewer asked: “Will Tom Be Found Guilty Or Not Guilty? I hope he rots in prison.”

One person replied: “Well going by Emmerdale and Corrie’s history, he will escape take Belle hostage, probably kill someone innocent before getting killed himself.”

A second added: “While the heart says guilty, I got this nagging feeling that [he’ll] be found not guilty and in soap land fashion, they will most likely give him some sort over the top style ending as he leaves the show.”

A third chimed in: “With the way things are going he’ll probably escape, and go on the run. While still harassing Belle of course. We’ll be here next year going ‘So do you think they’ll catch Tom yet?'”

“Could they bring Meena in for an episode or two to take care of Tom, to kill off the character? Then it’s finally over. If it happens, Meena is getting the keys to the village,” added another.

Will Tom get the justice he deserves in court?

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX
