Peter is hell-bent on bringing Kim Tate down following a brief fling but following Friday’s episode of Emmerdale some viewers think they have worked out who is behind his vendetta
Emmerdale fans are convinced they have worked out who is using Peter (played by David Michaels) to orchestrate a plot to bring down Kim Tate (Claire King).
During Friday’s trip to the Dales (December 13), Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) was left infuriated when Peter turned up at Home Farm unannounced. “I let myself in, the kitchen door was open,” he casually told Will.
As Will questioned why he never called him, Peter sarcastically told him to “calm down” and that it was all “under control.”
Peter then confirmed: “I’m here with a message from the boss”. Will quickly interjected: “Oh the mysterious boss in his own time zone. I’m starting to run out of patience with the both of you.”
Peter then continued: “He’s had another idea, to make Christmas even more of a day to remember, and truth me, you’re really going to love this one.”
As fans of the ITV soap will know, Kim rekindled her romance with Will after she came to realise that she was still in love with him despite their differences.
However, Will was initially wasn’t so forgiving as he continued with his plan to get revenge on his wife by joining forces with her former solicitor Peter. But Will soon changed his mind.
Peter is now persistent and isn’t working alone, with the dodgy legal man confirming he is in cahoots with a mysterious someone – who fans are predicting to be Joe Tate (Ned Porteous).
Joe left six years after Kim ordered him to be killed after he began getting too cosy at Home Farm and with using the company accounts. He faked his own death before being confirmed alive months later.
Taking to X, one person wrote: “This “boss” that Will and his cronie are talking about… Is it the return of Joe Tate? @NedPorteous? My wife loved his character, left way too soon #emmerdale.”
A second added: “Taking center stage this Christmas at the forefront is Will and Kim!
Who is Peter working with? Is it Kim or maybe Joe Tate or Jamie? Is she playing Will at his own game and working with Peter? Christmas Day 2024 is NOT to be missed.”
A third chimed in: “If Kim’s mystery enemy isn’t Joe Tate I’ll be very very disappointed & if it turns out to be miserable Jamie I’ll be fuming.”
“I wonder if Joe Tate is the other person abroad plotting against Kim? #Emmerdale,” added another.
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV and ITVX
