Emmerdale fans have figured out how Ruby Fox-MIlligan’s abusive dad Anthony ‘will get his comeuppance’.
On Friday night’s episode of the ITV soap, which is filmed in Leeds, viewers were met with uncomfortable scenes between Ruby and her father. This comes after it was previously revealed she was abused by him as a teenager, and it’s been suggested that her daughter Steph may be Anthony’s baby – in what would make for a particularly vile twist.
Ruby, Anthony, Caleb and Steph got together for a family selfie. Ruby was holding it all together until Anthony put his arm around Ruby’s waist – she flinched and looked very distressed by his physical contact.
Ahead of tonight’s broadcast, enraged fans took to Twitter to air their thoughts on Ruby and Anthony’s relationship. @MarieSm02786713 said: “I think that Anthony will get his comeuppance from either Steph or Ross Barton or possibly both of them. Steph will likely overhear Anthony tormenting Ruby about the past and what happened that night and be so horrified by the truth that she plots murder as revenge against him.
She later added: “He raped Ruby on her 16th birthday and got her pregnant and made out that she was a promiscuous young girl to her mother and that Caleb was the father. But his granddaughter is his daughter.”
