Emmerdale has shed some light on the mysterious foe who has a ‘vested interest’ in taking down Kim Tate (Claire King), with the ITV soap confirming that their arrival is imminent.
Kim, as viewers know, rekindled her romance with Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) after she came to realise that – despite his indiscretions – she was still in love with him.
Will, however, was not so forgiving as he powered through with his plan to get revenge on his wife by joining forces with her former solicitor Peter, who is hellbent on taking the Home Farm legend down.
Peter isn’t working alone though, with the dodgy legal man in cahoots with a mysterious someone – someone who wants to take Kim down just as much as he does.
Little information was given on the identity of the person in question and, up until Thursday (December 12), even Will had no idea that there was someone else involved in their plot.
Upon returning home from a romantic trip with Kim, Will decided that he wanted to up the ante in his plot and get it over and done with.
Peter, however, told him that the mission had changed as a result of the third party involved.
Will demanded to know who this person is but Peter told him that he’s ‘not at liberty to say’, but what he did confirm is that it’s a man – one who is currently overseas.
What’s more, the man in question is intent on arriving in the village on Christmas Eve, just in time to see Will renew his wedding vows to Kim as part of the twisted revenge plot.
The question is: just who is this man? Could be an old nemesis of Kim’s?
The overseas bit rules out Caleb Miligan (William Ash), who has a vendetta against Kim, so could it be Joe (Ned Porteous) or Jamie (Alexander Lincoln)?
Or maybe someone from much further back? Either way, it’s clear that this man is hellbent on revenge for whatever reason and thus Kim had better watch out.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 or stream from 7am on ITVX.
