Emmerdale viewers are convinced Anthony will be murdered after his sickening abuse was finally confirmed
Emmerdale fans are speculating about a murderous turn for the despised Anthony – but it might not be his daughter Ruby or Caleb dealing the deadly blow.
Anthony, played by Nicholas Day, burst onto the scene this year as Ruby Fox-Miligan’s (Beth Cordingly) long-lost father. His unexpected return came after a decade-long separation from Ruby, and followed the sudden arrival of Ruby’s own daughter, Steph (Georgia Jay), in the village.
Steph’s keen for the Miligan-Fox clan to bury the hatchet and start afresh, partly because Anthony’s now battling cancer. Despite their fraught past, it’s evident that there are mountains of unresolved tension between Ruby and Anthony.
Against her better judgement, and with a nudge from her hubby Caleb Miligan (William Ash), Ruby caved and Anthony was granted permission to stick around. While Anthony seems eager for healing, Ruby is on the edge, plagued with panic attacks and keeping shtum about some pretty dark secrets concerning her dad – so much so that she betrayed Caleb with his step-brother Cain (Jeff Hordley).
The truth about Anthony was revealed
But in Thursday’s episode (12th December), the grisly truth about the pair was outed, leaving fans absolutely horrified. In flashbacks to Ruby’s 16th birthday bash, a chilling scene unfolded with Anthony sneaking into Ruby’s bedroom post-party, locking the door, prompting Ruby’s desperate plea: “please not again, not today.”, reports Leeds Live.
Drama in the Dales is reaching a nail-biting peak as Emmerdale fans were thrown into turmoil during the latest twist. As the Miligan-Fox clan gathered to reminisce about Ruby’s 16th birthday, Caleb dropped a bombshell, hinting at a past tryst with Ruby by bringing her a cupcake after the party.

Steph then chimed in: “I always knew I was a 16th birthday baby”. But the plot thickened as Caleb seemingly pointed to Anthony as Steph’s real father, commenting to him: “What a loving and caring child we have, eh Anthony? ” To which Anthony replied, confirming his paternal bond: “You’re lucky to have her as a daughter, yes.”
Now, the show’s aficionados are sure Anthony, confirmed as Ruby’s abuser, is on a fast track to a grisly end. Social media was buzzing as one viewer speculated on an Emmerdale Facebook fan page: “So he was abusing Ruby and must be Steph’s father! ” Another suggested: “Anthony to get murdered by Christmas? ” And the theories kept coming: “I would love it if it was Steph who killed him!”
One fan added: “Yesss, I’m early liking her.” The vile actions of Anthony triggered reactions of disgust from viewers, with comments such as: “I couldn’t breathe watching that. Sickening,” “He makes my skin crawl!”, and “What a sick man, he must be Steph’s father.”
