Emmerdale star’s death ‘confirmed’ as fan makes chilling discovery on ITV set

Another Emmerdale death is looming over the Dales, it seems, as a fan has spotted an eerie detail during a tour of the ITV soap set, following reports several stars are leaving

An Emmerdale resident is going to die if a chilling new detail on the soap’s set is anything to go by.

A fan of the ITV soap has spotted a freshly dug grave in the village during a tour of the set in Leeds, suggesting somebody in the Dales is getting killed off. Emmerdale and fellow ITV soap Coronation Street film far in advance, so fans doing tours of the set often spot spoilers for future episodes.

And one fan who travelled from Dublin to see the Dales set has has shared a photo of the unmarked grave in a Facebook fan group for the soap. The tour includes locations like the Woolpack pub, Mill Cottage, David’s Shop and other spots seen in episodes.

But fans were rather curious about the grave and what it meant for the departing resident. The fan, who seemed to get confirmation about the death from Billy Fletcher star Jay Kontzle, wrote: “Did the Emmerdale tour on Saturday and we got to meet the gorgeous Billy (Jay Kontzle).

“We flew in from Dublin first flight in last flight out it was great. Also, there was a fresh GRAVE!!! See pics. I told Billy it better not be his grave and he said no but I am in that story line! – any guesses?????”.

It follows news Roxy Shahidi and Lesley Dunlop are leaving the soap as Leyla Harding and Brenda Walker. It’s also been revealed Daisy Campbell, who plays Amelia Spencer, is leaving, but Amelia insisted the “door is still open” for her to return, so the grave probably doesn’t belong to her.

Daisy, who made her Dales debut back in 2011, revealed her character is being written out of Emmerdale and it wasn’t her decision. She told the Mirror: “It wasn’t my choice to leave Emmerdale and it was a shock at first.

“Being in Emmerdale is all I have ever known. I’ve spent the whole of my childhood growing up in the soap and it felt daunting.”

One theory suggests Tom will kill Amelia

It’s been suggested by fans that she could be killed by her on-screen lover, abuser Tom King. But given Daisy has said the door has been left open, it seems it isn’t the case. Discussing a potential return to the soap, she added: “I am pleased the door is being left open. But I can’t say too much about how she leaves.”

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and available to stream from 7am on ITVX
