Coronation Street fans think they know who Shona Platt’s real baby father is, after she cheated on husband David with Kit Green
Coronation Street’s Shona Platt, played by Julia Goulding, has left fans stunned this week as it was revealed she had an affair with Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), not her husband David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd). Viewers have been gripped over the past month as David has been manipulating and lying to Shona in an attempt to prevent her from seeing her son Clayton (Callum Harrison).
Clayton, who is serving time for the murder of David’s previous wife Kylie (Paula Lane) in 2016, reached out to his mother from prison earlier this year. However, in ‘true’ soap opera style, Shona discovered the truth this week and was understandably livid. A heated argument between the married couple followed, but Shona found herself arrested for assaulting a prison governor earlier that day.
After being questioned by Kit, Shona was released. Instead of returning home, she decided to hit the town, reports Lancs Live. In Friday’s episode (December 6), it became apparent that Shona was concealing a significant secret – she had slept with Kit.

Earlier in the day, after David apologised for his actions, Shona agreed to give their relationship another chance, assuring him she wasn’t leaving. However, things took a suspicious turn for David.
He later discovered a morning-after pill and accused Shona of sleeping with Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson), having learned that Shona stayed at his place following her encounter with Kit.
Now, devotees of the show are convinced a ‘who’s the daddy’ plot is on the horizon – and some reckon they’ve sussed out the real father of the baby. On a Coronation Street Facebook fan group, one viewer stated: “Watch Shona now be pregnant, and a who’s the daddy, long drawn out storyline.” Chiming in within the comments, fans quickly began speculating potential fathers. One viewer speculated: “I think it could be Kit”.

Another concurred: “Defo Kit.” The topic of whether Shona actually consumed the morning-after pill was raised by a fan, with another countering: “She could have lied about that? We didn’t actually see her take it did we..”
Additionally, some are adamant that Adam could be the mystery dad. One fan wrote: “There’s something we don’t know still about Shona and Adam I’m sure of it. I think she slept with him as well, or before.” Echoing this sentiment, another added: “I’d put my money on Adam as well tbh.”
