Viewers of Emmerdale may have learned the true identity of Stephanie Miligan’s biological father on the ITV soap, and it might not be Caleb Miligan.
Amid fears Ruby Miligan’s secret is that she was abused by her own father Anthony Fox, Friday’s episode may have teased he isn’t Steph’s father either – despite fans predicting a sickening twist. Now a mystery character named Rob has been mentioned, and something Anthony said teased a paternity twist was on the cards.
Viewers have been predicting for weeks that something is amiss. We’ve known for a while that Steph became estranged from her parents Ruby and Caleb, with it revealed recently that she’d been sent to boarding school as a teen.
The troubled teen fell out with her parents as a result, and it was a decade on, with her now in her 30s, that she reconnected with the family. But a big twist saw it revealed that she’d been in contact with her grandmother Helen Fox for months before her death.
She then got in contact with her grandfather Anthony, leaving Ruby reeling. Ruby had been estranged from her own parents Helen and Anthony for decades, around 30 years. She refused to forgive her dad, and has been making some worrying claims about him.
It’s very clear she is hiding something from her past, and something happened to her. Now fans are wondering if it’s linked to Steph.

Viewers had feared it could come out that Anthony had raped Ruby as a teenager in a vile abuse storyline. They wondered if Ruby’s daughter Steph would turn out to be Anthony’s child, not Caleb’s.
Amid the truth about Ruby’s past coming to light, we found out something that might back that Stephanie’s dad is not Caleb. We were introduced to a mystery character named Rob, as Anthony asked Ruby about him.
Ruby seemed startled as to why he had been brought up, with Anthony asking how he was and what he was up to. Ruby claimed she had no idea and that they had not been in contact for years.
Anthony seemed surprised by this, claiming they were very close growing up. As he said their lost contact was “a shame”, Ruby questioned why he would say this.
Anthony then commented: “Maybe because your mother and I had always assumed that Rob was Stephanie’s father.” As he pulled a face, Ruby seemed stunned by his confession while she didn’t deny it. So is the mystery Rob really Steph’s dad?
