ITV Emmerdale spoilers reveal heartbreaking exit and Tom’s final revenge

Emmerdale spoilers for later this month have revealed a character departs the show, while there’s also a revenge plan going awry and a shocking Tom King plot twist

There’s upheaval and change aplenty on Emmerdale in the coming weeks, with more than one exit teased, and a worrying twist or two.

Spoilers confirm that a character plots to exit the village for good after recent torment, with someone set to return for their final scenes. Amid this, it could be the end of Tom King as he has one final chance to get himself out of trouble, and it leads to a horrifying twist.

There’s a big confession for one couple, while one resident is accused of cheating. Elsewhere a big revenge plan could fall apart, bringing trouble to one character’s door.

Kicking off the big week later this month, commencing on Monday December 16, is the sad exit of Amelia Spencer after 13 years on the show. After turmoil with Tom and recent drama, Amelia decides to leave for good.

It’s been revealed that her biological father Daz Spencer heads back to the show after five years for the scenes, as Amelia packs her things and says goodbye to the village. Amy Wyatt throws a last-minute goodbye party for her and her daughter Esther, but Kerry Wyatt is a no-show leaving Amelia gutted.

But will Kerry get the chance to say goodbye? Also next week is the moment Tom heads to court over his abuse towards Belle Dingle. Tom is still trying to throw the case with claims he’s innocent, while Belle was finally able to get justice recently.

But Tom has another plan up his sleeve, and seemingly makes a sickening decision to stop the case going ahead. A ‘code red’ is declared in Tom’s cell, and soon he’s rushed to hospital with it said he has tried to take his own life.

With Tom due in court it’s unclear whether the case will go ahead as planned, and soon Belle’s in turmoil and her mental health spirals. Terrified of having Tom’s death on her hands, she starts to question whether she really can go through with standing against him in court.

Charity Dingle soon sneaks into Tom’s hospital room, leaving him alarmed as she confronts him. Charity wants him to admit he faked the suicide attempt in a plot to derail the court – but is this exactly what Tom has done? Has it all been a sick ploy to get out of appearing in court, and throw Belle off?

It’s not really clear in the spoilers whether Tom did this, but Charity’s comments and his reaction to them certainly suggest it’s all a game to him. He realises Belle is spiralling and realises it could work in his favour.

Tom tells solicitor Ollie his belief that Belle will no longer testify, and soon enough we see Belle leaving a note and seemingly fleeing. As Tom prepares to give his best performance in court, Belle’s family are concerned by her vanishing act knowing that without her word, they may struggle to secure a conviction.

But will she make an appearance, and will Tom be found guilty? Viewers will see some familiar faces for the big episodes, as Denise Welch, Jack Ellis and Charles Dale guest appear as part of the jury.

Elsewhere, Kerry’s plan to help Eric Pollard leaves him being accused of cheating by his partner Brenda. John Sugden annoys Aaron Dingle with a camping trip, but as the pair open up to each other they soon confess that they love each other.

Finally, Will Taylor’s plan against Kim Tate could be exposed when some unexpected visitors move back to Home Farm. After being kicked out by Jai Sharma, Billy Fletcher and Will’s daughter Dawn Taylor head back to Kim’s place.

After Will suggests an intimate vow renewal with no one but them, clearly plotting against her, he’s left worried when he finds out Dawn and the family want to be there. The walls are closing in on Will, when he realises having people around could leave him and his plot rumbled.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
