BBC EastEnders’ Stacey Slater could be set to rekindle her romance with a former flame in Walford
EastEnders’ Stacey Slater, played by Lacey Turner, might be reigniting an old flame, much to the delight of fans.
The iconic character first graced Walford in 2004 and has since become a fan favourite. Stacey’s journey on the soap has been filled with dramatic storylines, from her struggle with bipolar disorder to being involved in murder plots. Her romantic life has also been quite eventful.
She tied the knot with Bradley Branning (Charlie Clements) in 2007, but their marriage was marred by her scandalous affair with his father, Max Branning (Jake Wood). This illicit relationship led to chaos and ultimately resulted in Bradley’s death.
Stacey was also married to Martin Fowler (James Bye) from 2016 to 2010. She had another steamy affair with Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami), and in 2024, she had a fling with another Branning, Jack (Scott Maslen).
However, it appears that Stacey might be rekindling her romance with Martin. Recently in the soap, Martin’s life was thrown into turmoil when Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) returned, revealing that she was raising a child with him, a fact he was previously unaware of, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Martin’s been reaching out to Ruby hoping to bond with their child, but she’s having none of it. However, the latest drama from Albert Square points towards a reunion for Martin and his ex-flame Stacey.
During Wednesday’s episode (December 4), Stacey threw some flirty banter about Martin’s bod and even invited him over for some steamy hot chocolate with the kids. Martin knocked her back, though, reckoning she’s only after him because Ruby’s returned. But now, EastEnders spoilers for later on in the month, reveal Martin and Stacey share a deep heart-to-heart where he gets all vulnerable and makes a move to kiss her!
And fans online are thinking Stace and Martin are set for another go. After the tease aired, folks couldnt keep quiet, with someone posting: “Stacey and Martin reunion looming.” Another practically screamed with joy: “OH MY GOD!?” And someone else is already cheering: “IT’S TIME.”
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
