ITV Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon supported by co-stars after Shankly Hotel event

The Bethany Platt actress is expecting her second child

Coronation stars were in Liverpool over the weekend as they celebrated the baby shower of their ITV co-star Lucy Fallon. She joined the cast of Corrie in 2015 aged nineteen and plays the character of Bethany Platt, the teenage daughter of Sarah Platt.

Bethany Platt star Lucy Fallon revealed over the summer she is expecting her second child with her boyfriend, footballer Ryan Ledson. Sharing the news in a video announcement in September the young actress showed the couple playing with their one-year-old son, Sonny Jude, before the clip showed Lucy rubbing her baby bump.

Sonny was then seen playing with the baby scan images of his new sibling. Announcing the news Lucy captioned the video: “Half way there” with the pair expecting a baby girl.

Lucy often keeps fans updated with her life on and off-screen, and yesterday she shared pictures from her baby shower which was held at Liverpool’s Shankly hotel. Wearing a stunning, long burgundy dress with a clutch bag with ‘Lucy’ written on it the 29-year-old uploaded a photo standing next to ‘welcome to Lucy’s slaybe shower’ sign.

The Coronation Street star captioned the post: “Celebrating our little girl I have never felt so lucky x”. Other familiar Weatherfield faces were in attendance for the special occasion.

A photo shared by Lucy shows her alongside Max Platt actor Paddy Bever, Daisy Midgeley actress Charlie Jordan, Dee-Dee Bailey actress Channique Sterling-Brown and Asha Alahan actress Tanisha Gorey.

Channique, who has been involved in one of the soaps biggest storylines this year after her involvement with villain Joel Deering, took to her own Instagram account to share a snap of the big day. Tagging the Shankly Hotel, she wrote: “When the mama to be says the dress code is slay, you comply x”

The comments of Lucy’s post were flooded with support by fans and celebrity friends. Helen Flanagan said: “So beautiful Lucy. Love you” and Brooke Vincent added “Baby girls having a baby girl.” Further messages of support included “How? How do you look that fantastic ALL OF THE TIME????”, left by Abi Franklin actress, Sally Carmen.
