Emmerdale spoilers have revealed that Ruby Fox-Milligan is left gobsmacked as her daughter Steph arrives in the village and they come face-to-face for the first time in years – and she’s not alone
Emmerdale is set to deliver more drama as Ruby Fox-Milligan (Beth Cordingly) encounters her estranged daughter and father next week.
Upon seeing her daughter Steph (Georgia Jay), a speechless Ruby sends Caleb Milligan (Will Ash) away for a private conversation. The situation escalates when Steph discloses that she had been in touch with her late mother, Helen Fox (Sharon Maughan).
As Ruby attempts to understand Steph’s relationship with Helen, she is pushed to her limits by Steph’s accusations about her troubled upbringing, leading Ruby to slap Steph.
Despite her apologies, Ruby is heartbroken when Steph departs, accusing Ruby of never caring for her. A vulnerable Caleb confesses to Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) that he can’t bear to lose Steph again and finds his determination.
He discovers Ruby trying to convince herself that Steph had a happy childhood. He reassures his wife, insisting that Steph will eventually come around, but there’s an inkling that Ruby might still be concealing something, reports Leeds Live.
The following day, Caleb and Ruby are taken aback to see Steph leaving the B&B with Ross Barton (Mike Parr). Caleb promptly interrogates her about Ross before proposing that she become his partner at the Depot. Steph hesitantly agrees to have coffee with Ruby.
Just when it seems their relationship might be improving, progress is halted as Ruby’s father, Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day), makes an unexpected appearance at the cafe.Ruby is left in shock when she discovers that this was all orchestrated by Steph, and her father attempts to defend his actions. Ruby, wanting no part of it, storms off.
She encounters Caleb and pleads with him to take her home, but he insists on speaking with Anthony himself. Following a tense exchange, Caleb is moved by Anthony’s genuine remorse and accepts a mysterious box from him intended as a gift for Ruby. Will Caleb manage to persuade Ruby to hear her father out?
In an attempt to placate Steph, Caleb extends a job offer to Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson), which Jai promptly rejects. Laurel Sharma (Charlotte Bellamy) persuades Jai to put aside his pride and accept Caleb’s earlier job proposal, leading to Jai turning up at the Depot the following day to accept the offer.
Jai is taken aback upon realising that Steph could potentially be his new boss. When Ross shows up seeking employment, Caleb dismisses him and warns him to stay away from his daughter. However, as Jai departs, he starts to devise a plan. Jai suggests a plot to Ross to pilfer some of Caleb’s valuable inventory. Jai informs Ross about some goods arriving at the depot.
While Jai distracts Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) at the depot, Ross seizes the opportunity to steal one of the vans. Ross arrives at a barn to unload his stolen goods, only to be shocked to find Steph among the stock, questioning his intentions.
Furthermore, Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) continues to brace herself for the worst as her operation looms. Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), unable to cope with the prospect of losing Moira, is seen wrestling with his emotions in solitude at the garage, dreading the uncertain future.
A special episode will depict Moira’s brain surgery and Cain’s emotional turmoil throughout the day. The narrative of Cain’s story will unfold in reverse chronological order, beginning with Caleb finding a drunken Cain with bloodied hands.
In another development, Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) harbours hopes of mediation with Kim Tate (Claire King), but Kim has different plans, proposing a £100,000 offer for him to exit her life swiftly. When Dawn Fletcher (Olivia Bromley) shares her issues with Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) with Will, he assures her that she won’t have to fret about finances ever again, standing firm in his feud with Kim.
Later on, an unidentified figure attempts to nick Kim’s car. Although the offender has already fled the scene, Kim discovers their identity and presents them with a choice. In other news, Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop) is taken aback when Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) unveils his intentions for a Christmas wedding. Pollard shows off the engagement ring he purchased for a thrilled Brenda at the auction.
