She helped facilitate a burglary at the Underworld factory which saw Carla get attacked

Coronation Street fans have said Betsy Swain has ‘no idea’ what she’s done as some worked out what’s next for the team after she helped facilitate a burglary at the Underworld factory which saw Carla Connor get attacked.

During Monday night’s (November 25) Corrie, Betsy was seen trying to help pal Mason Radcliffe by getting his brothers, Matty and Logan, off his back as they start to spread their terrorisation across the street.

She told Mason that his troublesome brothers were no longer a concern due to a deal she had made with them. It was later revealed that Betsy had set it up so that the brothers could burgle the knicker factory in exchange for leaving Mason alone. Betsy confirmed that the factory was vacant due to a team bonding day and she would facilitate their entry to ransack it, including getting the keys and switching off the CCTV so they wouldn’t get caught.

However, in typical soap opera fashion, the things didn’t go as planned when Carla returned to the factory earlier than expected after love interest DS Lisa Swain confessed she wasn’t ready for a relationship.

Carla was hit over the head during a robbery at the factory and the brothers did a flit when she began to stir. A dazed Carla did awake and managed to speak to the police about the robbery. The situation worsened for Betsy when Logan and Matty confronted Betsy, threatening that if they get caught, they will implicate her too.

But for Carla, as she tried to fix the mess in the factory, she sadly she collapsed towards the end of the episode, and was found unconscious by Betsy who phone for an ambulance. As Carla was rushed to hospital, Betsy confided in her mother, DS Swain, about about them both leading them to dash to her side. There, they discovered the worrying news from Ryan Connor that Carla had suffered a brain haemorrhage and needed immediate surgery.

And Corrie fans think they have worked out what’s next for Betsy. @jackie29m said: “Betsy has no idea what she has done.” @tracy.c70 posted: “Betsy could go to prison for this as an accomplice to the two who attacked Carla, she is to blame as much as they are.” @stargazinbuddie wrote: “I have a feeling that Sally’s gonna be the one to clock on that Betsy had something to do with the break in seen as we had the cafe scene and then the look on her face when Carla was getting taken away in the ambulance #corrie.”

However, @average_ezx commented: “Carla hearing Betsy’s message tone is totally going to be significant. that coupled with the fact Carla locked the factory doors once Ryan and Roy left… can’t wait to see her figure out Betsy was involved.” @swainspeare added: “When carla was being checked over by the paramedics, Betsy’s phone went off again and i’m sure Carla recognised the ring tone! what if she had already figured out Betsy was involved in the raid, before she collapsed, and decided not to say anything? #corrie #swarla.”
