Emmerdale’s Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) was left reeling when Chas (Lucy Pargeter) informed her about her burgeoning relationship with Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson).
Chas, as viewers know, has been seeing Liam on the down low following his split from Ella Forster (Paula Lane).
Ella had pictured a future with local GP Liam and had even started planning for their first Christmas together a couple, but Liam could no longer hide the fact that he was falling for Chas.
After Liam confided his feelings for her, Woolpack landlady Chas revealed that she felt the same way, with the two former flames sleeping together.
Knowing Chas was the woman he wanted to be with, Liam called things off with Ella, who left heartbroken. Due to her fragile state, Liam and Chas thought it best to keep their romance under wraps for the time being.
Chas, however, couldn’t help but tell Moira when visiting her in hospital on Monday (November 25). Moira underwent brain surgery last week to remove a remove a tumour.
The farmer was discussing how stressful the situation was and the impact that it’s had on both her and husband Cain’s (Jeff Hordley) life but Chas was quick to state that she will get through this – just like she did with her own cancer battle.
This prompted Chas to confirm her relationship news, which left Moira with a big smile on her face, delighted for her sister-in-law.
But one dalliance that she won’t be too happy to hear of Cain and Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly). Cain controversially slept with Ruby last week while Moira was undergoing her surgery – in a twist that left fans seething.
Moira remains in the dark for now but we all know that secrets never stay hidden for long in Emmerdale so it’s only a matter of time before all is revealed.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 or stream from 7am on ITVX.
