Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) waved Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) off in recent Coronation Street scenes, and things immediately started to go wrong for him.
Before her departure, Gemma worried that Chesney was taking on too much, when he accepted more shifts at the now reopened kebab shop.
However, Chesney assured her that he could handle it, and sent her on her way.
Unfortunately, a trip to Freshco was enough to derail Chesney’s plans for the day, when parking proved to be a nightmare.
After being cut up for a parking space by a white van, Chesney angrily blocked the vehicle in, before heading off to do his shopping.
This would prove a disastrous decision, when he returned to find the van speeding off and his car badly damaged.
Back on Coronation Street, a confused Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) soon popped round to question why he hadn’t yet opened the kebab shop, and Chesney was forced to explain all about his run-in with the van.
Dev was engrossed in the story, but seemed disappointed when Chesney revealed that he hadn’t yet thought to contact the police.
The businessman urged him to get in contact with them, in the hope that they’ll be able to help him square things up with the van driver’s insurance company.
With Chesney having got things off his chest, Dev ushered him to work at the kebab shop.
Will it be smoother sailing from now on, or is the trouble only just beginning?
