With Coronation Street filming a devastating fire, one cast member has teased which characters may be involved and now fans think they know who is at risk on the ITV soap
Some Coronation Street fans think they have rumbled who is involved in the looming fire stunt currently being filmed on the ITV soap.
A post by one cast member led to viewers being convinced a certain family would be at risk, with a night shoot under way. The public living around the set and location where Corrie is filmed were warned recently, about a fire stunt being filmed.
They were told not to panic as they would likely hear loud explosions with there also being fire effects. The notice informed that the show would be recreating a house fire, and that an explosion would be triggered but that there was nothing to worry about.
Corrie hasn’t actually confirmed a fire is on the way, with no spoilers detailing who is involved and what happens. But might someone die in tragic scenes amid it being teased some fan favourites will be in serious peril?
Viewers are speculating that a social media post has confirmed the Platts will be involved and that it could be their house set ablaze. Lucy Fallon, who plays Bethany Platt, confirmed that she and two co-stars at least were filming a night shoot, and it just so happened to be in the time frame of the explosion being filmed.
In the photo were Max Turner actor Paddy Bever and Shona Platt actress Julia Goulding. So will the Platts be caught up in the explosion, and could someone die?

With actress Lucy set to go on maternity leave soon, will Bethany meet a tragic end? Could Shona’s plot with her criminal son Clayton lead to fiery scenes? Fans are convinced the Platts are involved and that their house will burn down – and maybe someone will die.
One fan posted: “Platts night shoot on the week this explosion is being filmed, you say?” Another fan said: “Clayton escapes out of prison and burns the house down killing himself in the process,” as a third wrote: “My guess is it Gail who gets caught up in it.”
A further comment read: “I said as soon as we heard about it I had a feeling it’d be the Platts house.” It comes as a source told the Metro: “The early part of the year is going to kick off the new era of Corrie with a bang pretty literally and one of the show’s core families are right at the heart of the fire storyline.
“With a new boss at the helm, the show isn’t pulling any punches and it’s fair to say some fan-favourite lives are on the line.”
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
