Emmerdale icon to be ‘killed off’ after 15 years as fans ‘spot glaring clue’

Emmerdale fans have been left fearing for Moira Dingle’s life after the farmer came around from brain surgery only to find she couldn’t feel her hand as her husband Cain held it tightly.

Emmerdale aired tense scenes on Wednesday evening (November 20) as Moira Dingle (played by Natalie J Robb) underwent life saving brain surgery following her tumour diagnosis. Her husband Cain (Jeff Hordley) was left overwhelmed by Moira’s terrifying operation as she went under the knife.

Rather than wait at the hospital for updates, struggling Cain headed back to the village where he made a string of terrible decisions, including getting drunk, attacking Jimmy King (Nick Miles) and sleeping with his sister-in-law Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly).

When Cain returned to the hospital his brother Sam Dingle (James Hooton) commented on his drunken state, before explaining there was a complication during Moira’s surgery but it went well.

Cain was a picture of regret as he visited Moira’s beside, but when she asked her husband to hold her hand, he already was, signally there is a problem.

“Cain, hold my hand,” Moira demanded as he replied: “I’m holding it. I love you.”

The heartbreaking scene has sparked concern among Emmerdale fans who are fearing for Moira’s life.

Taking to Facebook, one viewer wrote: “Moira couldn’t feel Caine’s hand more problems to come?” (sic)

Another replied: “They said she had a fit and there was a lot of bleeding … maybe she did die during the op and they’d why she saw Holly.” (sic)

A third chimed in: “I thought that. Think there trouble ahead.” As another echoed: “Thought the same.” (sic)

“Maybe she had a stroke after surgery and wont recover,” added another. (sic)

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and is available to stream from 7am on ITVX.
