I’m A Celeb’s Alan Halsall discusses ex-wife Lucy-Jo Hudson in camp six years on from bitter split

I’m A Celebrity star Alan Halsall discussed his love life on the ITV show, and spoke of his split from ex-wife and former Coronation Street co-star Lucy-Jo Hudson

Alan Halsall opened up to his I’m A Celebrity campmates about his relationship with former Corrie star Lucy-Jo Hudson.

The Coronation Street star, known for his role as Tyrone Dobbs on the cobbles, married co-star Lucy-Jo in 2009 after meeting on the set of the ITV soap. However, they later broke up and have had a bitter relationship as exes in the years since.

Speaking to campmates, including Dean McCullough, Alan opened up meeting his ex-wife on set. Mentioning their split – but avoiding controversial comments – the conversation then moved onto dating apps. During the discussion, Tulisa admitted she has been celibate for ‘over three years’.

Dean shared: “I actually do enjoy being single, I enjoy being on my own.” Speaking about apps, actor Alan admitted: “I’ve never done dating apps, I don’t even know what I’d do!”

Dean then looked over to Tulisa and joked: “We’ve done them all, haven’t we babes.” But Tulisa replied: “No I’ve only done Raya. I’m not really a dater, even though I’ve been on there, I’ve never gone on an actual date with anyone on there… I’m proper guarded.”

Fans online were quick to suggest a possible romance between Alan and Tulisa, with one fan saying: “Tulisa & Alan, a new couple?!….(stranger things have happened! ) #ImACeleb.” Another added: “Guys I’m rooting for the Tulisa & Alan love story #ImACeleb.”

It is reported Alan and ex Lucy-Jo can no longer talk – despite being coparents to their daughter. Just days after Lucy-Jo welcomed her baby boy in 2020 with her partner Lewis Devine, Alan wrote on Instagram, before deleting: “You’re welcome to keep the lying cheating one and call her your own! But not my daughter.”

Alan and Lucy-Jo split in 2018. Following his statement, Lucy-Jo spoke out about the actor’s statement in a separate interview. She previously told OK! Magazine: “I had literally just given birth to Carter when he posted that so I didn’t see it and my head was elsewhere. He quickly deleted it so he must have regretted it. I didn’t bother bringing it up with him.

Alan and Lucy-Jo welcomed their daughter, Sienna-Rae, in 2013 but shocked fans in 2016 after they announced their split. They soon reconciled and tried to reconnect, but it still didn’t work the second time round, and they ultimately split for good in 2018.
