Coronation Street aired two big moments on Friday night as newcomer Mick’s lies were rumbled, and one character made their return after weeks away on the ITV soap

One character found their grim lies exposed on Coronation Street on Friday, while another resident made a long-awaited return.

Newcomer Mick found his gross actions towards Daisy Midgeley exposed to his wife Lou, sparking a furious showdown as his true colours continued to show. On Wednesday the newcomer tried it on with Daisy and didn’t take her rejection well.

He claimed she led him on and he turned quite menacing, refusing to leave as fans watched on in horror. It left fans convinced Mick was hiding his dark behaviours and that he may have treated women badly in the past.

On Friday night he was exposed by Daisy to Lou, and his reaction sparked more concern. Initially he’d entered the pub and spoken inappropriately to barmaid Daisy yet again with taunts and sexual comments.

She threatened to kick him out and Jenny Connor did the same, only for sleazy Mick to mock them and issue more taunts. He then returned with wife Lou and he once again made gross remarks to Daisy.

He’d also by this point threatened to go behind the bar and got shouty with her, after claiming she had come on to him and was “gagging for it”. So when she told Lou the truth his face dropped, especially when Jenny backed her up.

Lou initially went for Daisy accusing her of lying but when Jenny confirmed her story, she quickly left and demanded her husband went home for a showdown. As Mick walked out the pub he gave Daisy a sinister stare, clearly hinting he would be plotting payback.

So does Daisy need to watch out, and how much more will we find out about Mick’s behaviour? Elsewhere, fans were thrilled to see Evelyn Plummer back onscreen after being away for a while.

With Evelyn no longer a regular character she does not appear all the time, but she was back on Friday to help her struggling daughter Cassie Plummer. Spoilers have revealed she will be back onscreen again soon as the plot with Cassie escalates.

Cassie was tempted with drugs by cruel Tracy Barlow, who wanted revenge over Cassie drugging and stealing from Ken Barlow. Evelyn returned with claims that Ken had found out Cassie was now homeless, and he wanted her to be taken in.

But when Tyrone Dobbs refused to forgive his mother, Cassie had it out with Evelyn before storming off. Evelyn offered her some money for a hotel room for the night, but Cassie was soon on the phone to her dealer.
