Emmerdale has released an explosive first look at the moment Manpreet Sharma warns her blackmailer off
Emmerdale is set for explosive scenes as Manpreet Sharma comes face-to-face with her blackmailer or so she thinks.
On Friday’s new series, Off Script… Coronation Street & Emmerdale, with Kelvin and Liz Fletcher, the duo released a dramatic first look of the moment.
Only recently, Manpreet confided in Ella Forster that she was being blackmailed after posting photos of herself online and joining a subscription website.
And in the first look scene, it sees Manpreet confront her blackmailer as she holds a huge wad of cash. The village doctor retorts: “There you go, fill your boots, it’s all there and don’t expect another penny because I haven’t got it!”
The camera then pans out to show none other than Joe Tate who responds in confusion: “I literally just walked up here and you’re offering me money?”
To which Manpreet warns: “I’m doing what you asked me to do now leave me alone!” as Joe insists: “I didn’t ask for anything, I just come here sometimes for peace and quiet… won’t be doing that anymore!”
However, Manpreet continues to grill Joe as she insists: “Can we stop with the games, you’ve been blackmailing me!” to which Joe replies: “I barely know you, why would I do that?”
At this point, a blue pick up truck is seen speeding in the background to which a confused Manpreet asks: “Is it really not you?”
Discussing the explosive first look on the vodcast, former Emmerdale actor Kelvin, who used to play Andy Sugden, said: “Oh, well whoever it is, they’ve got a blue pick up, they’ve got a blue pick up! Who do we know who’s got a blue pick up?”

It comes as after opening up, Ella encouraged Manpreet to delete her account but just seconds after deactivating the blackmailer text again saying: “Deleting your profile won’t make a difference” as they sent screenshots of her account, adding: “One word to the police and everyone will know your secret.”
On Wednesday night, Manpreet continued to worry about the blackmailer especially when she had lunch with Ella in the village and received a text from her stalker warning they were watching her.
Soap watchers have been left suspicious of Ella, especially due to her criminal past, but other viewers have pointed out that all of the texts so far were sent while Ella was sat next to Manpreet, seemingly ruling her out of blackmail. Other suspects include Tracy Metcalfe, who is strapped for cash, and Billy Fletcher… but could Joe now be a suspect?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
