EastEnders viewers are convinced they have worked out a worrying secret about Teddy Mitchell that could spell danger for Zack Hudson and destroy his relationship with Sharon Watts

EastEnders fans are buzzing with theories that Teddy Mitchell is hiding a dark secret that could shatter his romance with current flame Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) and put her brother Zack Hudson (James Farrar) in the line of fire. .

Since rocking up to Albert Square last year with his two lads, we don’t know much about Teddy (Roland Manookian) except that he’s Billy Mitchell’s (Perry Fenwick) long-lost bro.

But there have been whispers of a shady past involving Teddy and his eldest son Harry (Elijah Holloway), after they admitted they legged it from Dartford to Walford to dodge some sort of trouble.

Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) also found out that Harry’s ex-girlfriend Shireen disappeared years ago and is thought to be dead – a mystery set to spook the Mitchells in the upcoming episodes.

On Monday (March 17), it’s four years since Shireen went missing, and things start heating up at 1 Albert Square between Harry, Teddy, Nicola (Laura Doddington) and Barney (Lewis Bridgeman).

While at the Arches, Harry gets a surprise visit from Shireen’s brother, Asad, who drops the bombshell that he no longer thinks Harry had a hand in Shireen’s disappearance, reports Plymouth Live.

But it seems the Mitchell name isn’t off the hook just yet. Asad rocks up to Shireen’s vigil at Harry’s Barn and all hell breaks loose when he points the finger at Teddy for Shireen’s murder.

But Harry jumps in to defend his old man as Teddy denies Asad’s accusations.Nicola has got a blinder on everyone about her and Teddy’s lad Barney – ‘cos the real dad’s Zack. She’s dead set on keeping Barney from clocking the truth.

But hold up, ’cause EastEnders fans reckon Teddy’s not just your average bloke, and he might just be Walford’s next top bad boy. Is Zack in for it?

And what’s the deal, did Teddy have a hand in poor Shireen’s demise? On X, one viewer’s got a proper bee in their bonnet, saying: “I still say there’s something not right about Teddy. I get a major secret psycho scumbag vibe from him. #EastEnders.”

Another’s waiting for all hell to break loose: “I hope that finding out Sharon slept with Grant and finding out that Barney is not his son puts him over the top. I want this to be Teddy’s villain origin story. #EastEnders.”

Then there’s this one sniffing out more drama: “I wonder if we’ll see a much darker side to Teddy once Zack and Sharon’s individual secrets come to light. We saw him have a go at Ravi for dangling Barney off the bridge. But we haven’t seen his real dark Mitchell side yet. I hope this comes out soon. #EastEnders.”

And someone else is dropping ominous hints like: “Teddy will find out the truth eventually and it’ll destroy him.”
