Coronation Street fans think they have ‘worked out’ DC Kit Green’s link to Weatherfield’s newest residents Mick and Lou Michaelis. The couple arrived separately onto the cobbles in February.

It came after it was revealed that Mick and Lou are part of a new Corrie family set to shake-up the Street, with them described as ‘nightmare neighbours’ who are willing to make life hell for anyone who dares to cross them.

Lou, played by Farrel Hegarty, was the first time seen on-screen and she didn’t make her entrance quietly as she was seen giving Aadi Alahan grief over a purchase in the shop.

She was also seen immediately sparking up a friendship with Gemma Winter-Brown, with their connection quickly uncovered. The pair ended up recognising each other from Bessie Street School, where Gemma’s quads and Lou’s two young daughters attend, before sharing a drink in the Rovers Return.

Mick, played by Joe Layton, then made his appearance a few days later as they moved into their new home, with Corrie having extended the serial drama across the ginnel for the first time, and it was soon confirmed he was the van driver that had been following Chesney Brown.

But Corrie fans have already been told that Mick and Lou have a connection to Kit, who made his first appearance on the Street last year after Bernie Winter went on a mission to find her long-lost son, Zodiac.

When she found Kit, played by Jacon Roberts, as she posed as a cleaner before rifling through his drawers, he lied and said he wasn’t adopted but it was later confirmed that Bernie had found her long-lost son.

He soon made things difficult for Bernie, even attempting to turn her children Paul Foreman and Gemma Winter against her, before Paul’s tragic death seemingly brought them together and while he may now not be causing problems for his own family, he’s not too worried about causing problems for others.

It’s now been reported that Corrie fans will soon find out more about Kit’s past, with the ITV soap seen filming scenes in Irlam this week. While official comments are not usually made around speculation on upcoming storylines, The Sun reports that the soap has recreated 2008 with three younger actors taking over the roles of Kit, Mick and Lou.

And Corrie fans have been flooding social media with their own thoughts on what could eventually come out about the trio – and think Kit’s link to the couple is that he is Dylan Wilson’s prison buddy Brody’s dad.

While it hasn’t officially been confirmed but hinted that Brody is Mick and Lou’s son, @camjmes0 said: “It’s been confirmed that this character with ‘Young Kit Green’ is ‘Lou Michaelis’ and it looks like some hand holding is happening. Brody is around 15/16 years old and this flashback is 2008.”

@SwainsCoat queried: “He’s Brody’s dad, isn’t he?” @chloeolivia__ replied: “Omg i KNEW it – brody is gonna be kit’s kid and that’s his connection to lou and mick.” @bosdovja92 posted: “17 is about the age of that inmate guy who is very clearly the son of the new couple. Yep this is where they’re going with it then.” @Wee_Westie29 added: “Ah, So I guess Kit MAYBE Brody’s dad. #Corrie #CoronationStreet @itvcorrie.”
