Emmerdale viewers think they know who put Nate in the lake in huge family twist
Emmerdale fans believe they have worked out who really killed Nate Robinson (played by Jurell Carter) after Amy Wyatt (Natalie Jamieson) spotted his body in a frozen lake following the tragic limo crash.
Last month, before she died in heartbreaking scenes, Amy managed to say Nate’s name to Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano), but it is unclear whether he heard it.
Tracy Robinson (Amy Walsh) is yet to hear from her estranged husband, Nate, after he left the village for a new life in Shetland. Family man Nate is yet to return any of her phone calls, especially after she tried to contact him following the limo disaster, which left three people dead.
Meanwhile, at New Year, the ITV soap aired several flashforwards, giving fans a glimpse at what was to come in 2025. There was an eerie clip of someone trapped under an icy lake, and another flashforward included soap favourite Mack (Lawrence Robb) with him running in fear of someone.
Emmerdale fans are now speculating Mack is running away from the lake after dumping Nate’s body, but he didn’t kill him – it was Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) who secretly murdered her own step-son.
Last year, Moira’s brain tumour went undiagnosed for some time, and as a tragic result, she acted out of character including violent outbursts and experienced hallucinations.
Moira and Nate once had an affair, and while suffering from her brain condition, she tried to kiss Nate again while in the barn, but Caleb Miligan (William Ash) spotted the intense moment and told his brother Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley).
Cain wasted no time in beating up his son Nate as he accused him of trying to seduce his wife Moira again. Although Nate denied any wrongdoing, he later confirmed his big move to Shetland and made an abrupt exit – but hasn’t been heard from since.
Emmerdale viewers predict Moira accidentally killed Nate during a medical episode, and Mackenzie disposed of the body to protect his poorly sister.
Taking to Facebook, one fan asked: “Do you think maybe Moira killed Nate due to her brain tumour and doesn’t have a clue. Hence why you seen Mackenzie running through the woods in fast forward episode. Hence why may have witnessed it and he was the one who hid Nate’s body in the lake to protect Moira. Probably wrong, but a different theory.”
A second added: “Yeah like it but who’s got his phone and sent Frankie birthday present xx.”
A third agreed: “Yes that sounds really good thought”, while another added: “I think That whoever killed Nate will get away with it. “That’s an interesting theory actually he did chase her into the woods that time when she had the seizure would make sense”, said one viewer.
One fan confirmed: “It crossed my mind that it was Moira x.”
