Katie Hill has discussed upcoming Emmerdale spoilers involving her character Sarah, Jacob and newcomer Kammy
Emmerdale spoilers suggest a spicy love triangle is set to divide the village.
The admission comes from Katie Hill, 21, who plays Sarah Sugden in the ITV soap who was speaking during a press conference about upcoming scenes. The Emmerdale spoilers will potentially jeopardise her on-off relationship with Jacob Gallagher – played by Joe-Warren Plant.
Setting the scene, with Ross driving a swanky new pick-up. Mack is suspicious given the spate of recent local farm machinery thefts. Mack fails to stop a quad bike being nicked from Moira’s farm and soon accuses Ross. Later, Sarah meets a young lad struggling to start a quad bike on a country lane, suspicious of his cover story, yet intrigued. Despite his spark with Sarah, Kammy’s nervous to be back in the village with the quad and when Ross approaches the audience will be left to wonder whose side Sarah will take?
Wise Sarah knows it’s nicked – but Kammy’s taken aback when Sarah unexpectedly covers for him and wants in on his racket. Soon Kammy and Sarah race stolen quad bikes across a field, hanging out with Kammy is putting some joy into Sarah’s life after a difficult time.
Katie said there’s an instant ‘connection’ between Sarah and Kammy. She said: “Kammy is a really fun, bubbly, cheeky chap character. He’s a bit of a bad boy. I think he’s also got a soft side. I think the audience is really going to like him.
“There’s so much they can do with this character. I can’t wait to see where Sarah and Kammy go together. It is a really fun character.”
Katie teased the notion of a love triangle involving Sarah, newcomer Kammy and Jacob. The acting star said: “I think that will definitely be on the cards. It is funny, as well as, because they are so different. Kammy is a bit of a bad boy and a cheeky chap. Then you have Jacob who is a training doctor and way more sensible than Kammy is.

“It’ll be interesting to see which way she goes but it has been fun for me dipping in and out of both sides of Sarah. When I’ve been doing the stuff with Kammy, the Dingle side comes out and then Jacob brings her back. It has been really fun to go between the two. We’ll have to wait and see what happens with that.”
Katie acknowledged that Sarah’s fanconi anaemia health condition, as well as some of the issues she’s faced, has resulted in the character feeling alone. Possibly why Kammy has appeared even more exciting to her.
Katie said: “We can definitely see some moments coming up where she feels a bit lonely. She likes to think she can deal with things on her own and this sometimes leads to her bottling things up which can lead to her feeling a bit lonely. I think we’ll definitely see some moments coming up with Sarah where she feels a bit lonely but hopefully it’ll all work out in the end.”
Perhaps that might be with Jacob. During the Emmerdale press conference, Katie was asked how she sees the dynamic between Sarah and Jacob.

She explained: “I think Sarah genuinely does really like Jacob. It is her first mature relationship. All of her previous relationships have been the bad boy-type that have messed her around a little bit. It is very different with Jacob.”
And, what of working with Jacob actor Joe-Warren Plant? Katie replied: “Joe-Warren (Plant) is so lovely to work with and he’s a brilliant actor. It is nice because we’ve never really worked together until this storyline. Our characters have never really crossed paths before. It has been really nice working with Joe. We have a laugh on-set.”
On the upcoming storyline, she added: “Jacob balances Sarah out and when she sees him doing what he is, making a good career for himself, I think it is a really good influence on Sarah. He brings a nice really lovely side out of her. I think they do make a really nice couple.”
We’ll have to see if Sarah ends up with ‘nice guy’ Jacob or ‘bad boy’ Kammy. But it is clear which way Sarah’s grandmother Charity wants it to play out.
“Charity is definitely suspicious of Kammy at the start,” Katie explained. “She really likes Jacob and wants her (Sarah) to be with a sensible boy.”
