Emmerdale’s latest episode confirmed that the funeral which featured in the recent flashforward was not Amy Wyatt’s which means someone else is set to die on the ITV soap

There could be another Emmerdale death on the way, with some form of tragedy confirmed thanks to a scene on Thursday night.

After a flashforward in December confirmed a sad death was on the way, it’s now been revealed that the funeral shown in the glimpse to the future was not Amy Wyatt’s. Cain Dingle is mourning someone at a graveside in the clip from months ago, with it seeming that a funeral is taking place.

The burial has just taken place with floral tributes by the grave, while we do not know the name on the grave. The only clue is that it’s someone linked to Cain as he is the only one in the clip, and he’s shown sobbing.

Theories have been circulating for months over who dies and whose funeral it is. Now, the latest episode of the ITV soap has ruled out someone, who was killed off on the show just weeks ago.

Amy, the mother of Cain’s son Kyle, died in a tragic limo crash in February. Fans immediately assumed it had to be her grave Cain was mourning at, but this is now revealed to be false.

It can’t be Amy’s funeral, as this aired on Thursday night and while Cain was in attendance, the location was wrong and Cain’s outfit was different. This means there is another funeral coming and more tragedy for Cain.

Another name thrown into the mix, and now the likely person whose grave it is, is Cain’s son Nate Robinson. It’s now looking more likely that Nate’s sad murder will be confirmed, after his body was shown in a lake last month.

He left the village in September and it was assumed he was in Shetland where he’d planned to move, amid him falling out with Cain and others. It’s now believed he never left and was killed by someone, with his body dumped in the lake.

Ahead of the confirmation and the body being found, fans are sure it has to be Nate’s funeral Cain is attending. So this does possibly confirm Nate’s body will be found this year, and likely soon.

That said what if it isn’t Nate’s funeral? This would mean someone else will be killed off. So might there be more tragedy ahead for the Dingles and Cain?

Viewers will have to keep watching to see what happens next. Either way it’s set to be a sad time for Cain for sure!
