Emmerdale’s Kelvin Fletcher and his wife Liz are set to embrace a flurry of farmyard activity as they’ve shared news of fresh additions to their sprawling 120-acre farm.

The couple, juggling life alongside four young children, gave ITV’s Lorraine Kelly the lowdown during a cosy Wednesday catch-up (March 5) via video link.

Former soap favourite Kelvin quipped, “Yeah, it’s about to get very busy for us, so we’re trying to make the most of these blue skies.”

With spirits high, Kelvin revealed, “We’ve certainly got a spring in our step because the next few weeks we’ll be ready for lambing.”

Liz chimed in with her own excitement, detailing, “Really exciting, we’ve got the lambs that will be due about mid April. The kids will be off ready to help us and it’s a really busy time on the farm.”

Last month heralded the end of a chapter as Liz confirmed the curtain call on their family TV show, Fletcher’s Family Farm. The Sunday morning hit had its debut screening in October 2023, followed swiftly by a second series in November the same year, reports Leicestershire Live.

A festive twist saw the Fletchers journey from their Cheshire base to a Finnish farm within the Arctic Circle for a special Christmas episode in 2024, before Liz announced its seasonal pause on Sunday, February 16.

In heartfelt gratitude, Liz took to Instagram with a message for their dedicated audience, penning, “And that’s a wrap! Thank you so much to everyone who tuned in week after week to see our farming journey!”.

“We are so grateful for all the lovely messages and comments and so happy that you have enjoyed watching it as much as we loved making it! This is only just the beginning! Happy Sunday!” Fans were quick to express their delight, with one commenting: “The best program in tv! What a lovely family life for your kiddies.”

Another chimed in: “Loved every episode. You guys are the best. Please let there be another series.” A third fan echoed these sentiments, saying: “Love this series! Such a lovely family.”

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and available to stream from 7am on ITVX
