Eileen Grimshaw is also demanding answers and Ed Bailey worries about a pregnant Dee-Dee next week in the ITV soap
While the residents of Weatherfield reel from the hit-and-run drama next week, there will still be plenty of other drama going on in Coronation Street.
Starting off the week, Yasmeen Nazir reveals to her granddaughter Alya that she’s sold her half of Speed Daal and soon, Alya shakes hands with her new business partner. Later, Alya and Yasmeen share an emotional farewell as the latter leaves Weatherfield.
With her gran gone, it’s clear things aren’t going to run smoothly at the restaurant as when Alya arrives at work, she is furious to discover that the menu has been changed. Ripping up the new menu, Alya attempts to stamp her authority on her new business partner.
Elsewhere, accusations are thrown round in the aftermath of the horrifying crash out the Rovers Return which saw both David Platt and a pregnant Daisy Midgeley become victims.
DC Kit Green, however, struggles to contain his anger as DS Swain Lisa informs him that Andy Garland, who was behind the wheel of the car, has been arrested and is claiming the crash was a drunken accident.

But Betsy’s dismissive and heads back out. In the precinct, Betsy becomes aware that she’s being followed. She sets off at speed, but the man gives chase and we see that it’s Rob.
Also in Weatherfield, Cassie Plummer calls in the pub and asks Jenny Connor for some shifts but Jenny sends her packing. Tracy Barlow’s thrilled but when Tommy Orpington arrives, her face drops.
