EastEnders fans are convinced that fan favourite Sharon Watts will fall pregnant in upcoming scenes – but her partner Teddy Mitchell won’t be the father in a huge paternity twist
EastEnders viewers are speculating that Sharon Watts, played by Letitia Dean, might be expecting a baby in future episodes, but the father won’t be Teddy Mitchell, portrayed by Roland Manookian.
In the episode aired on Wednesday, February 26, Sharon was unfaithful to Teddy, rekindling her romance with ex-husband Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp), Teddy’s cousin,
On her discharge day from hospital following the terrifying Queen Vic explosion, Sharon found herself locking lips with Grant in her kitchen. Mourning the loss of Martin Fowler, played by James Bye, Sharon sought solace and was more than happy to receive it from Grant when he visited.
The ex-lovers took a trip down memory lane, discussing their shared history and less-than-perfect pasts. As they bid each other farewell, both couldn’t hide their smiles, sharing a playful hug.
The banter continued as Grant lifted Sharon into his arms, leading to a lengthy, passionate kiss. The scene then shifted to Sharon’s boyfriend Teddy waiting for her at Martin’s vigil drinks.
As things heated up between Sharon and Grant, Grant removed his jacket mid-kiss, leading fans to speculate that Sharon might end up pregnant with Grant’s child, reports Plymouth Live.
Speculation is rife among fans of the show on X, previously known as Twitter, about an unexpected twist. One anticipates: “Sharon is going to get pregnant off Grant isn’t she. I can see it coming.”
Another fan expressed disbelief: “I swear if Sharon gets pregnant at like 56 via Grant I actually won’t be able to cope. I’m sorry but that ship has SAILED! Ur about 10 years too late Chris Clenshaw.”
With a nod to past plots, another viewer shared: “Sharon will get pregnant off Grant – just like she did off Keanu/ Phil in 2019/20. Clenshaw loves nostalgia and this could be what pulls Grant back to Walford for good.”
And yet another added: “Sharon is going to regret what she’s just done – she’s grieving and isn’t thinking straight. I hope she doesn’t become pregnant with Grant’s baby just like with Phil.Teddy is going to go ballistic when he finds out especially when he discovers Barney is Zack’s son too.”
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One and available to stream on BBC iPlayer from 6am
